The car customization world is heading into an exciting era, one that is actually more affordable, and more utilitarian for the average driver. With the new year upon us some of the hottest trends have nothing to do with aesthetics, and everything to do with usability. While many automakers have begun offering integrated vehicles that new owners can sync to their phone right on the dealership lot, the majority of people are still cruising in vehicles that could benefit from an update. The automotive Gods are watching and have blessed car lovers with a few great gifts that awesomely enhance the driving experience.

Smartphone Starting

Remote starting itself has been around for years, but some recent advancements in the technology has made it more user friendly as numerous options for startup can be synced to your smartphone. Aside from just setting the temperature, whether you need the interior warm in the winter or cool in the summer, some options allow you to pre-select the music and set up navigation before you’re even in the driver’s seat.

In Dash Navigation

Speaking of navigation, it’s time to put down the phone and utilize your vehicle’s dashboard space. In dash navigation is designed specifically with the driver in mind. Clear, easy to understand directions, a large, bright screen, and ample instruction time provides greater clarity to see and hear where you’re going, which is a huge advantage compared to the features of some of the built-in map apps on your smartphone.

Security Cameras

Cameras aren’t just for backing up, although they are quite useful for that. Front and rear-facing cameras can provide integral evidence in the event of an accident. They can also capture instances of road rage and crimes that occur on our roadways. With your footage police can track down these drivers, which will help make our highways safer.

What’s a CD?

Let's be honest, when is the last time that you used a CD? 2019 is the year to finally say goodbye to your CD player. As we head into a fully digital world, you can utilize the space in your dashboard where the CD player was more effectively. Installing an infotainment system that includes in-dash GPS, satellite radio, and other features will provide you with a much more pleasant driving experience.

Important Considerations When Selecting a New Audio System for Your Vehicle

By Complete Mobile • October 19, 2026

Upgrading your vehicle's audio system can transform everyday driving by providing clearer sound, stronger bass, and an overall more enjoyable listening experience. However, choosing the right system involves more than simply selecting the most powerful speakers or expensive components. Your vehicle, listening preferences, available space, and desired features should all play a role in the decision. At Complete Mobile, we specialize in automotive audio upgrades in the greater Portland, ME area. Our team can assist you with determining the ideal audio system for your desires and budget. Considering these factors can help you choose an audio system that delivers the sound and functionality you want. Consider Your Vehicle's Compatibility Before selecting new audio equipment, make sure the components are compatible with your vehicle. Different vehicles have different dashboard configurations, speaker sizes, wiring systems, and available installation spaces. A professional car audio installer can evaluate your vehicle and recommend components that will integrate properly with its existing systems. Determine Your Preferred Sound Quality Think about the type of listening experience you want to achieve. Some drivers prioritize crisp vocals and detailed sound, while others prefer deep bass or a powerful overall output. Your preferred music genres can also influence which speakers, amplifiers, subwoofers, and other components are appropriate. Identifying your sound preferences can help you build a system around the listening experience you enjoy most. Choose Features That Fit Your Needs Modern car audio systems can offer much more than traditional radio playback. Depending on the system, you may want features such as Bluetooth connectivity, smartphone integration, touchscreen controls, navigation, hands-free calling, or compatibility with streaming services. Consider which features you’ll actually use so you can select a system that improves your daily driving experience without unnecessary additions. Make Sure an Expert Does the Installation Even high-quality audio components may not perform as intended if they’re installed incorrectly. Professional installation can help ensure speakers, amplifiers, wiring, and other equipment are properly integrated. An experienced installer can help ensure balanced sound and address compatibility concerns that may not be obvious during a do-it-yourself installation. The Benefits of Installing a Quality Dash Cam in Your Car

By Complete Mobile • September 23, 2026

Driving comes with unpredictable situations, such as accidents that happen in seconds. A quality dash cam can provide an objective video record of what happens on the road, offering drivers valuable protection and peace of mind. Modern dash cameras can capture high-quality footage, record automatically while driving, and in some cases continue monitoring a parked vehicle. Whether you commute every day or only drive occasionally, installing a reliable dash cam can be a worthwhile investment. At Complete Mobile, we specialize in dash cams in the greater Portland, ME area. Here are four important benefits of having one in your car. Provide Evidence After an Accident One of the biggest benefits of a dash cam is having video evidence if an accident occurs. Memories can differ between drivers, and determining exactly what happened may be difficult without witnesses or other evidence. A dash cam can capture the moments leading up to and during an incident, potentially providing useful information for insurance claims or other disputes. Help Protect Against False Claims Unfortunately, drivers can sometimes face inaccurate or fraudulent claims following an accident. Without independent evidence, it may be difficult to establish what actually happened. Dash cam footage can provide an objective record of the event, helping demonstrate your actions and the circumstances surrounding a collision. This can provide additional peace of mind whenever you are behind the wheel. Monitor Your Vehicle While Parked Many quality dash cams offer parking-monitoring features that can record activity around your vehicle while it is parked. Depending on the system, the camera may activate when it detects motion or an impact. This can be particularly useful if another vehicle hits your car in a parking lot or someone damages it while it’s unattended. Encourage Safer Driving Knowing that your driving is being recorded can encourage greater awareness behind the wheel. Dash cam footage can also allow you to review your driving habits and identify areas where you could become a more attentive or defensive driver. For parents of newer drivers, certain camera systems may also provide an additional way to understand how a vehicle is being operated.
